Who We Are - The Rankin Shield Project

 We provide a range of services dedicated to supporting first responders and their families. Our work includes peer support and wellness initiatives, critical incident and crisis support, assistance for injured first responders and their families, and support for the surviving family members of fallen first responders. We promote mental health and wellness awareness and offer training and professional development opportunities. Through community outreach and public awareness initiatives, we work to strengthen connections across the community, including partnerships with local churches, businesses, and community organizations. We also provide emergency assistance for first responder families in crisis and host events and fundraising efforts that benefit first responders and their families. 

First responders routinely face trauma, stress, tragedy, and situations most people will never experience. The emotional, mental, and physical toll of the profession affects not only responders, but also their spouses, children, parents, and loved ones.

The Rankin Shield Project seeks to bring awareness to these realities while creating real support systems for the people who spend their lives protecting our communities.
